I love the independent publishing community. They are some of the most generous people I have ever met.
I was looking for a book cover designer that could capture what I wanted shown and was competitive from a cost perspective. After scouring through Amazon, staring at book covers in various search criteria, I came across the excellent Leopold Blake book series written by Nick Stephenson.
Even though Stephenson is exceptionally successful, making a handy living as a writer, I took a chance and emailed him, asking him who did his covers. Within hours Stephenson emailed me back, not only thanking me for my positive comments, but also copied the book cover designer on the email, giving me direct access to a resource that had helped make him successful.
Selfless generosity.
The book cover artist, Ares, is tremendously talented, easy to work with and responsive to your needs. If you are in the market for a book cover, I strongly recommend you check with him first.
Below is an example of his work. He can be reached via email at aresjun at gmail dot com (I wrote it this way to keep phishing programs from picking the email address out of the page and spamming the crap out of him).
Check his work out. Your book cover could be in there one day. 🙂
